Hemp is a strain of the cannabis plant used in many industrial applications & as a food source, it differs from recreational cannabis drug use in that the strain has little amounts of the active compound that gets you high THC. So just as a human is not an ape, hemp is not sativa.
Even at that the hemp powder would be the isolated protein from the plant, it wouldn't be the plant ground up into powder form. Just like sugar does not contain the fibers/vitamins of the cane it comes from.
Hemp is a popular protein powder used in shakes and smoothies and also a milk substitute. It has a great nutritional range rich in omegas & amino acids. It is perfectly fine to use & will not show up in drug tests or have any side effects like smoking weed as it DOES NOT contain THC which gets you stoned. So yes you can lick the soap LOL
My Hippie Soaps are made using hemp seed oil base and sometimes powder, the oil helps balance dry skin and is anti-ageing, its absorbed easily into the skin, has anti-oxidant and moisture balancing properties and combats skin irritations.
Hemp soap also contains hemp seed powder which acts as a mild exfoliator giving your skin a youthful glow.
So there now you know this has been HEMP 101 :)
Goat milk contains lots of nutrients like fats, proteins and other hormones that naturally benefit the skin. The benefits of goat milk soap can be felt by people suffering from various skin conditions or those just wanting to maintain youthful, rejuvenated skin.
Goat milk soap has a pH level similar to human skin and can benefit the skin by protecting skin from daily bacterial and chemical invasions.Acne
Goat milk soap benefits people with acne-prone skin because the proteins in milk kill acne-causing bacteria.
Goat milk soap sloughs off dead skin because of the alpha-hydroxy acids found in the milk.
The moisturizing benefits of goat milk soap surpass anything in a commercial (detergent/soap ) because of the natural creams in goat’s milk.
Handmade goat milk soap benefits people with sensitive skin because it doesn't contain additives like alcohol, petroleum and preservatives which reduces the risk of skin irritation and allergic reactions.
Eczema, a skin condition caused by red, itchy skin patches, benefits from goat milk soap since the natural nutrients in goat milk moisturizes skin and reduces itchiness in the skin.
Here is what you will see:>> Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) & Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) used in commercial made soaps.
Its used to provide you with what they say is a luxurious lather. but really it there to allow their (detergent) soap to lather up in hard water conditions, and makes it more lucrative to consumers.
What they forgot or don't tell you on the package is that it will build up in your body over time.Wonder how many health issues it causes?? scary huh.
I really doubt that anything used to DEGREASE motors, floors etc are going to be sensitive on anyones skin!!!
According to the scientific description from Wikipedia, "Like all detergent surfactants, sodium lauryl sulfate removes oils from the skin, and can cause skin and eye irritation." Here is the full story on the chemical compounds that make up SLS's - CHECK IT OUT: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_lauryl_sulfate
How good can this be for you and your skin I ask? NOT!!!
I refuse to use of that ___ in my home, on my family or on my pets. I use my baby soap bars or sensitive skin soaps on my dogs.
When I make my soap recipe, I prefer to use oil from a simple bean product, Castor Beans. That oil is what I feel is best for my in soaps along with other great butters and oils. They are natural and non toxic to our skin or pets.
I get moisturizing, silky, clean soapy feeling, plus it adds a bit of bubble to the soap bar. It might not lather like those detergent (soap) bars from the department stores have, just remember its not the amount of bubbles that clean your skin after all. And, yes it may cost you more than lab manufactured so called soaps - but it's far safer!
Go ahead, check your products ...Feel safe with them? I know whats in the products I offer and its none of that chemical compound junk!
Thanks for reading my lil rant and I hope you care :-)
