Shea & Cocoa butter has a real ever changing type personality, & depending on the season or the climate you live in, it can get a little grainy, But I still rather use natural and unrefined butters. This is why sometimes you feel this grainy substance in your lip balms etc. Just rub a little longer on your lips or skin and it melts. These little granules that sometimes happen are perfectly natural and normal, and doesn’t mean that your product has gone bad or that something’s wrong with it what so ever.. Here is basically what happens~Shea is made of several different types of fat. & when temperatures change in its surroundings its going to melt. When it cools again it crystallizes or hardens at different speeds, causing little granules to form. The more the butter melts and re-hardens, the more granules you can get. Shea butter melts at the same temperature as human skin thats the reason why we love it so much, its easier to slather on~ HOWEVER, it also means that sunshine, travel, humidity, sitting close to a heater, or being in a hot room, your car etc can all cause fluctuations in the texture.
You know, its really overwhelming all the scents and blends of Essential Oils & Fragrances to offer you in bath salts and fizzies ...help me make a few decisions :)

Excerp below is from the link above....... very important info on keeping your essential oils....
Essential oils are happiest when cold.If you keep them refrigerated they will last twice as long, especially if you live in a warm climate. Essential oils are expensive, so you want them to stay active as long as possible!

The article starts off with this.....
(NaturalNews) The next time you walk down the soap aisle at your favorite store enjoying the fresh, clean scents and the bright colorful packaging, pay attention. Look at the labels. The vast majority of the products on the shelf don't say 'soap' on their labels. They might be called beauty bars, moisturizing bars, or body bars, but not soap. That's because these bars aren't actually soap and can't legally claim to be; they're detergents. The manufacturers have removed most of the 'good' stuff that occurs in the soap making process, and replaced it with synthetic lathering agents and harsh chemicals. These cheap, plentiful detergent bars are not only bad for your skin, but they're also bad for the planet, too.

So my youngest daughter Lizzie and I were chatting this weekend about people and how I wished more than 1 out of 10 people would post a review of the products they purchased from me, after all it helps get the word out, when we both laughed after I said "OH uh uhh *DUH!!! I do not always post reviews on my orders especially from Amazon" ....lawdy do you? She laughs and says ...um no, mom I don't either.
So I have to apologize for asking you all to write reviews!! BUT~ after realizing this, I now made a promise to myself to always answer reviews~
Lizzie and I both realized we only buy products when there are good reviews on products and never trust anything without them.

I found someone that sells Sourwood Honey yesterday and ordered a jar, thanks Darlene!! YAY, I seriously can't wait to receive my order and see what it will do for my line of skin products and even in some soap. I'll keep you posted. Here is some HONEY FYI .... "There are a number of reasons why honey is so effective in wound healing. First, honey topically numbs pain. Secondly, honey is osmotic; it attracts water. Since bacteria is mostly made of water, it is sucked dry in the presence of honey. Bacteria is further inhibited by honey because honey produces hydrogen peroxide and is acidic. Third, honey activates the immune response by providing glucose for the white blood cells. Finally, honey speeds up the healing process. It creates a moist environment by drawing serum up through the skin tissues that helps “moist scab” formation. Honey also reduces inflammation, helps shed dead tissue, and stimulates the development of new blood cells. Honey's antiseptic qualities also help prevent infections from moving to other wounds. For these reasons, honey may be very helpful in the treatment of minor burns, open wounds, abscesses, strep infections, Cesarean incisions, gangrene, shingles, and abrasions with debris (when the abrasion is dressed with honey for 24 hours, the honey will actually draw and lift the debris). Its antifungal properties make it useful in the topical treatment of athlete's foot and eczema."
